City of Duncanville Launches Online Right‑of‑Way Permitting
The City of Duncanville has transitioned to My Government Online (MGO) for all right‑of‑way (ROW) permitting and inspections. All ROW Utility Providers, contractors, and residents performing qualifying work in the public right‑of‑way must now submit applications, upload plans, and schedule inspections online through MGO.

To get started, applicants should visit MGO at https://mgoconnect.org/cp?JID=541 to create a new account. Once your account is created, you will be able to register as a contractor and request permits as needed. Required documents—including construction plans, traffic control plans, construction schedules, and public notification materials—must be uploaded in PDF format as part of the online application.

Inspections are requested and managed through MGO, from initial safety inspections before work begins to final and warranty inspections that verify restoration meets City standards. In limited emergency situations, qualified utility providers may begin work before obtaining a permit, but they must notify the City promptly and submit a follow‑up application through MGO within the required timeframe.

For questions or assistance with ROW permitting, please contact the City of Duncanville Service Center at (972) 780‑4900.
