Due to forecasted freezing temperatures and hazardous road conditions expected to continue throughout the day, the City of Duncanville will close City Hall and all non-essential city facilities including the Library, Duncanville Fieldhouse, and D.L. Hopkins Jr. Senior Center on Monday, January 26, 2026.

At the September 16, 2025 regular meeting, the Duncanville City Council approved updates to utility rates that will take effect October 1, 2025. The changes include adjustments to water and sewer rates for both residential and commercial customers, with discounted rates continuing for seniors.

The City of Duncanville will hold a Charter Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, as part of the countywide election run by the Dallas County Elections Department.

On May 3, Duncanville voters re-elected Joe Veracruz to serve as Councilmember for District 1, Jeremy Koontz to serve as Councilmember for District 3, Kyle Pennebaker to serve as Councilmember for District 5, and DeMonica Gooden to serve as Councilmember At-Large. The City Council will canvass election results, and the elected members will be sworn in on May 20, 2025, as part of the City Council's Regular Meeting. All results are unofficial until canvassed by the City Council.
