Police Department

Cofffee with a Cop

Interim Chief of Police Matt Stogner and members of the Duncanville Police Department and Duncanville ISD Police Department hosted a Coffee with a Cop event at McDonald's located on N. Duncanville Rd.

On November 20, 2023, Officer Peterson observed a suspicious person sitting in a vehicle at approximately 3:00 a.m. in the parking lot of a local business. Officer Peterson investigated the incident and found that, at the time, the individual was not committing any criminal offense. This week, the same individual that Officer Peterson identified has been committing several criminal offenses in the northern area of DFW. Because of Officer Peterson’s actions, several North Texas police agencies were able to link him to their offenses and used that information to solve crimes in their city. The individual has since been arrested on multiple counts of burglary in several cities across the northern DFW metroplex.
