Fire Station #1 Move-in Day

DUNCANVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Southwest Regional Emergency Management and Southwest Regional Fire Training (who serve Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster) recently held an Active Shooter Response Summit in early March. Over 460 statewide public safety professionals from Police, Fire, Emergency Management, Dispatch, Hospital, Education, and Non-Profit agencies gathered over two days to hear from eight agencies that have responded to active shooter events. This gathering allowed for critical information sharing so that all participating agencies could enhance their own response plans and regional partnerships. Among the presenters were Duncanville’s Interim Chief Police Matt Stogner and Emergency Management Operations Coordinator (Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster) Lauren Sanchez.
