DUNCANVILLE, TX – The City of Duncanville and the Duncanville Lions Club are proud to announce that Robert D. Brown Jr. will serve as the Grand Marshal of the 2025 Fourth of July Parade, taking place Friday, July 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
Brown is a lifelong public servant who has held several leadership roles with the City of Duncanville, including Police Chief, Assistant City Manager, and Interim City Manager. His selection as Grand Marshal honors his decades of dedicated service, steady leadership, and lasting impact on the Duncanville community.
This year’s patriotic parade will feature a variety of local organizations, veterans’ groups, youth sports teams, and community members proudly marching in celebration of Independence Day. Residents and visitors alike are invited to join the festivities and celebrate with hometown pride.
Official Parade Route and Traffic Details
- Start: Reed Middle School (530 E. Freeman Street) Line-up begins at 8:00 AM
- Route:
- Westbound on Wheatland Road
- North on Main Street
- Ends at Freeman Street near Hastings Street
Road Closures and Parking Information
- Temporary road closures on Wheatland Road and Main Street (westbound) will begin at 8:45 AM and are expected to reopen by 11:00 AM
- Eastbound Wheatland Road and northbound Freeman Street will remain open to traffic.
- Parking will be available in nearby city lots (excluding City Hall) and other designated public areas.
- For safety, no parking will be allowed along the parade route, and spectators are asked to stay on sidewalks or grassy areas.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early, bring chairs or blankets, and enjoy the parade with family and friends. This annual tradition celebrates not only our nation’s birthday but also the unity and spirit of the Duncanville community.
