Scam Alert

City of Duncanville residents: Please be aware of scam emails pretending to be from City Planning and Zoning or Permitting staff and asking you to pay by wire transfer.

Here’s how our real process works:

  • Our staff does not send invoices from individual email addresses. All official invoices are generated and sent through our permitting system, EnerGov.
  • Legitimate invoices will come from a Tyler Munis system email, not a staff member’s personal City email.
  • We will never ask you to pay by wire transfer.
  • To make a real payment, you must use the secure payment link included in the official EnerGov invoice. That link will take you to the EnerGov payment portal, where you will see your project information, fee amount, project address, and other details before paying by credit or debit card.
  • ACH payments are currently disabled and are not an option for City payments.

If you receive a suspicious email about a City payment, do not click any links or send money. Instead, contact the City of Duncanville directly using the phone number or email listed on our official website to verify the request.
