The City of Duncanville is currently preparing for the possibility of a winter weather event that will bring temperatures below freezing through Tuesday and a chance of wintery precipitation Sunday evening into Monday. No matter the weather, it is the ongoing mission of City staff to provide professional, quality services to the community throughout every season. To accomplish this, staff have developed a winter weather plan that will be implemented should the National Weather Service issue a Winter Weather Advisory, Winter Weather Watch, or Winter Weather Warning that will affect the City of Duncanville for 24 to 48 hours. Our staff continues to monitor the ongoing situation and is ready, willing, and able to respond as needed.

The spraying is being conducted in response to the detection of West Nile Virus in a mosquito trap located within the 75137 zip code. If the weather prohibits spraying on Thursday night, spraying will be conducted on Friday and Saturday nights. Spraying will be performed in the targeted area within the City of Duncanville (see the attached map). Residents living within the spray zone are encouraged to remain indoors and bring their pets inside during spraying.

Property tax rates in City of Duncanville. This notice concerns the 2023 property tax rates for City of Duncanville. This notice provides information about two tax rates used in adopting the current tax year's tax rate. The no-new-revenue tax rate would Impose the same amount of taxes as last year if you compare properties taxed in both years. In most cases, the voter-approval tax rate is the highest tax rate a taxing unit can adopt without holding an election. In each case, these rates are calculated by dividing the total amount of taxes by the current taxable value with adjustments as required by state law. The rates are given per $100 of property value.
