When reflecting on the development of Duncanville, Texas, few individuals embody the city’s growth and grit quite like Bill Willborn. On May 1, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Duncanville Police officers arrested a Duncanville High School teacher in connection with an investigation into allegations of voyeurism involving an educator and a student.

The City of Duncanville is working closely with Republic Services to manage the significant increase in brush and bulk waste following last weekend’s storms. We are currently experiencing higher volumes of storm debris, particularly in areas north of I-20, along with ongoing cleanup in city parks and efforts by our street crews to keep roadways safe and clear.

This week’s City Manager’s Weekly Update highlights strong activity across Duncanville, including 74 building inspections, 82 permits issued, 13 health inspections, 29 rental inspections, 147 fire calls for service, and more than 19.1 million gallons of water pumped, alongside continued community programming, public safety outreach, infrastructure work, and special event planning.
