The City of Duncanville is proud to announce that its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). This recognition is the highest honor in governmental accounting and financial reporting and reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accuracy, and strong financial stewardship.

Last year, the City of Duncanville launched a new partnership with SeeMyLegacy, an innovative online giving and community engagement platform designed to help residents, businesses, and stakeholders directly support the projects and programs that matter most to them.

The Holiday Lights Parade will follow a festive route through the heart of Duncanville to ensure a fun and safe experience for all spectators. The parade will begin at Freeman Road, travel east along Wheatland Road, turn south onto Main Street, and continue until it reaches Center St, where the parade will conclude.

City departments reported another full week of progress — from strong inspection activity and consistent service delivery to ongoing emergency management training, new firefighter applicants, and continued preparation for Holiday Lights in the Park. The Library is gearing up for the holiday week, Economic Development is rolled out its Design Incentive Grant, and Parks crews have been busy planting fall color and installing seasonal décor across the city.
