City of Duncanville Facilities Closed Monday, January 26 Due to Inclement Weather

DUNCANVILLE, TX – Due to forecasted freezing temperatures and hazardous road conditions expected to continue throughout the day, the City of Duncanville will close City Hall and all non-essential city facilities including the Library, Duncanville Fieldhouse, and D.L. Hopkins Jr. Senior Center on Monday, January 26, 2026.

In addition, Republic Services will suspend trash and bulk collection services on Monday, January 26. No routes will be running due to the inclement weather.

The Duncanville Recreation Center will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM to serve as a community warming center. Drinks and snacks will not be provided so those planning to utilize the warming center are invited to bring their own.

Essential personnel will remain on duty to ensure the continuity of critical public safety and emergency services. The City encourages residents to remain indoors, avoid travel if possible, and monitor local weather alerts for updates on road and weather conditions.

City operations are anticipated to resume normal schedules on Tuesday, January 27, pending improved conditions. Any further updates will be shared through the City’s official website and social media channels.
