Duncanville is in the southwest corner of Dallas County, an easy 15-minute commute to downtown Dallas, just off Interstate 20. Located less than five minutes from Interstate 35, Duncanville is approximately 100 miles south of the Texas/Oklahoma border and approximately 200 miles north of Austin. Duncanville is a forward looking and family friendly city with a strong sense of community, a high quality of life, and a healthy business community. Known as “The City of Champions” Duncanville prides itself on its outstanding athletic programs, entrepreneurial spirit, and hard-working citizenry. In November of 2018, the citizens passed a bond election, demonstrating the support of the City by its residents

Hotel Occupancy Tax Use Guidelines and Funding Application Form

As authorized by state law, the City of Duncanville collects a Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT Funds) from hotels, bed & breakfasts, and other lodging facilities. Under state law, the revenue from the HOT Funds may be used only to directly promote tourism and the hotel and convention industry.
