Our Santa Cop delivery took place on December 20, 2025. This year, the program supported more than 50 deserving families by providing not only toys, but also essential items such as coats, clothing, shoes, and grocery store gift cards. Planning is well underway for BloomFest Music & Arts Festival, returning to Armstrong Park on Saturday, May 9, 2026. BloomFest continues to grow as one of the City of Duncanville’s signature spring events, celebrating live music, local artists, food vendors, and community pride in a vibrant, family-friendly setting. Staff is currently working hard to find programming elements and coordinating event logistics, marketing efforts, and community partnerships to ensure another successful festival experience for residents and visitors alike.

On Monday, the City will be unveiling an exciting announcement tied to BloomFest-one that puts the spotlight on local talent and adds a competitive, crowd-energizing element to the festival lineup. Community Event Highlight
The Duncanville Recreation Center was proud to finish up the year with a bang at our Movies in the Park event, featuring Home Alone and The Santa Clause. Guests not only enjoyed these classic Christmas movies but also had popcorn available throughout the films.
Before the movies, guests enjoyed hot chocolate, roasted marshmallows, and the opportunity to build their own s'mores. Families especially loved this activity, as many had never roasted marshmallows or made s'mores before.
In total, approximately 100 guests attended this festive holiday event.

Utilities Division
- From December 29, 2025, to January 4, 2026, 31,493,430 gallons of water were pumped. The estimated water loss for that week was 0 gallons.
Cedar Ridge Drive Improvements
- At the December 16, 2026 City Council meeting, the project was awarded to Estrada Concrete Company, LLC. They have received the contract and will provide all required documents to begin the project soon.
Summit Pump Generator
- The Automatic Transfer Switch for the generator has arrived and is being wired. The generator is expected to be fully operational next month.
