Fight the Bite

To help stop the spread of mosquitoes, residents should get rid of any standing water around their homes. You should also report dirty pools or abandoned homes where mosquitoes might be breeding. To report, call Duncanville Health Services at (972) 780-5000 or use the OurDuncanville app, found in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Weekly Highlight

This past weekend, we proudly hosted our second event in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at Armstrong Park, and it was a tremendous success! More than 300 attendees gathered for an unforgettable evening filled with music, culture, and community. The energy was electric as San Antonio-based bands, including the Art Tijerina Band and Grupo Rodeo, delivered outstanding live performances. The event also highlighted an exciting display of 12 Lowrider cars, a diverse selection of local retail and food vendors, and bounce houses that kept kids entertained all night long.

We were honored to welcome several distinguished guests whose presence made the evening even more special, including Mayor Contreras and Council Members Joe Veracruz, Don McBurnett, and DeMonica Goodin. By the end of the night, it was clear that everyone left with smiles on their faces and a little extra pep in their step. We’re already looking forward to welcoming new, talented performers for next year’s celebration!
