THE CITY OF DUNCANVILLE IS CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING THE ORIGINS OF A PROFANE EVERBRIDGE EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION THAT WAS RECEIVED BY A RESIDENT

 

Duncanville, TX – The City of Duncanville has been alerted of a possible Everbridge notification that includes profane language from our Everbridge Emergency Notification System. The City of Duncanville is currently investigating the origins of the message.

Residents who received an Everbridge Notification with profane language are asked to please report it to Lauren Sanchez, Regional Emergency Management Operations Coordinator via email to [email protected]. In the email, residents are asked to provide the following information:

  1. Date and time of the alert.
  2. The method of alert (voicemail, email, and/or text).
  3. Any screenshots and/or saved voicemail of the alert.

While severe weather can occur during any month of the year, the peak severe weather season is throughout the months of March, April, and May. The Everbridge Emergency Alert System continues to be the most effective way to receive emergency updates from the City of Duncanville when severe storms are affecting the area. As a reminder, The Everbridge Emergency Alert System enables the city to provide its residents with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.
