D.L. Hopkins, Jr. Senior Center was built in 1985 and renovated, upgraded, and expanded in 2003. Along with social, exercise, and arts and crafts classes, the senior center offers meals each weekday. Open Monday through Friday, the center allows senior citizens to be actively involved in the community and participate in numerous educational, entertainment, and volunteer opportunities. Transportation to and from the facility is available.

The senior center's monthly publication, the Golden Gazette, keeps seniors apprised of upcoming events and activities.
