The Communications & Marketing Department, formerly known as the Public Information Office, is tasked with communicating the city’s message to the public and the media. The department is responsible for producing the annual State of the City Address, maintaining the Duncanville cable channel, televising City Council Meetings, maintaining the city's social media channels, producing the both the print (included as an insert in your monthly water bill) and email newsletters, disseminating news releases and conducting interviews with the media, and providing oversight of the city’s website.

OurDuncanville by SeeClickFix is an issue reporting platform which allows residents, businesses and stakeholders to report non-emergency neighborhood issues directly to City of Duncanville Staff. The tool has a free mobile app that maps user comments. Users may track progress, add comments, suggest courses of action, or add video and picture documentation.
