City of Duncanville

Responsibilities:

The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee advises the city councils and staff of Duncanville, Cedar Hill,  and DeSoto on matters related to the Tri-City Animal Shelter, including policies and procedures, fees and rates, and special initiatives, among others.

Board Qualifications:

The City of Cedar Hill, as the duly authorized agent of the Cities of Duncanville and Desoto in the management and daily operations of the Tri-City Animal Shelter, shall appoint the four members required by state law with consensus from all member cities:

• One licensed veterinarian
• One county or municipal official
• One animal shelter manager
• One representative from an animal welfare organization

The cities of Cedar Hill, Desoto, and Duncanville shall appoint one at-large member each to serve on the Committee.
